Relevant Project(s)
- Antioch General Plan Update and Environmental Impact Report. The updated Antioch General Plan will be an explicit statement of the City’s vision for its future and will set forth a comprehensive strategy for managing future growth and change in a way that will achieve that vision. LSA’s General Plan work efforts address short-term and long-term issues concerning the protection of community lifestyles, expansion of the community’s economic and employment base, and the provision of needed public services. LSA is responsible for developing three general management strategies and growth scenarios and presenting them in a report, updating all elements of the General Plan, preparing the Environmental Impact Report (EIR) on the Plan, and making the necessary changes to the Zoning Ordinance.
- Calabasas General Plan and EIR; Calabasas, California. LSA completed preparation of the City’s first General Plan. The General Plan program included an extensive public participation program, including communitywide workshops, visioning exercises conducted with focus groups, a citizen’s advisory committee, and extensive involvement of the Planning Commission and City Council in the formulation of the General Plan… This performance-based General Plan recognizes the unique environmental resources within the Calabasas planning area and the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area within which the majority of the City is located. The General Plan establishes detailed performance standards for hillside management, conservation of biological and cultural resources, preservation of established rural communities and urban residential neighborhoods, urban design, and preservation of open space.
